Dapat nang magbitiw sa puwesto si Vice President Sara Duterte bilang kalihim ng Department of Education (DepEd) at panahon na para maging “accountable” siya sa mga ginawa ng kanyang pamilya.
Ito ang panawagan ni Manila 3rd district Representative Joel Chua kay Duterte nitong Sabado, Abril 20 dahil sa pagpapanggap umano nitong ganap siyang katuwang ng Pangulo.
“Nearly two years after assumption to the Office of the Vice President, it is time for accountability for VP Sara Duterte and the Duterte family. The Vice President should show some decency by resigning from her DepEd post at the very least,” ani Chua.
“Her family unleashed a barrage of insults and attacks directly to the President and yet she does nothing and is still enjoying the perks of being part of the official family,” dagdag pa niya.
Matatandaan na noong nakaraang buwan lang nang naging pinaka-vocal critic ni incumbent President Marcos si dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na ama ni VP Sara.
“She should draw the line instead of pretending to be a full partner of the President,” saad pa ni Chua sa VP.
Dagdag pa niya, “She cannot have the best of both worlds by being a fence-sitter while her family and their allies challenge the authority and mandate of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr while having little to show for in terms of substantive results at the [DepEd], where she is Secretary,”
Sinabi rin ni Chua na ang DepEd’s Catch-Up Fridays ay “waste of time with no real results to show” lamang.
“Learning deficits from the pandemic are worsened by the continuing resort to modules and online classes which were ineffective during the pandemic and are still ineffective now,” aniya pa.
