TINESTING NG PH NAVY ANG BAGONG MISSILE SYSTEM  

Sinubukan ng Philippine Navy ang bagong missile system sa Mariveles, Bataan, na nagpalakas pa sa maritime protection capabilities ng bansa.

Ayon sa Navy nitong Biyernes, tinesting ang bagog kabit na Spike Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) missile system sa isa sa Fast Attack Interdiction Craft platforms nito, sa kanluran ng Luzon Point sa Mariveles, Bataan nitong Abril 10.

“Developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, the Spike NLOS missile system is equipped with advanced electro-optical and infrared sensors and offers day and night operational capabilities, enhancing its effectiveness in various combat scenarios,” base sa Navy.

“This advanced missile system boasts an impressive range of up to 30 kilometers (approximately 18.6 miles), enabling operators to engage targets with pinpoint accuracy from stand-off distances,” dagdag nito.

Sa aktibidad, naberipika ng Navy ang precision strike capability NLOS missile system dahil nasapul nito ang target na hindi bababa sa 20 kilometers ang layo.

“Offering unparalleled accuracy and versatility, this new capability represents a leap forward in precision-guided munitions technology,” anang Navy.

Isinagawa ang test firing bilang bahagi ng acceptance terms at training deliverables ng Navy na kasama sa FAIC Acquisition Project.
